LIBRARY

A well furnished air conditioned library, with more than 5000 books and a rich reference section is one of the main attractions of Bishop Pereira Memorial School. To develop reading habits in children, book review is introduced from class IV to provide exposure to different genres , gain vocabulary and discover various literary forms. Library resources are accessible to students, teachers and other staff. The school is also in the process of starting an E-Library in the near future.

COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB

The BPM campus is well equipped with modern computer labs for students and teachers. The Computer Knowledge Centre of the school caters to the specialised computational needs of the academic community. It includes two air conditioned labs with Windows10, 44 high-end webcam enabled desktops, remote access facility and advanced GPU and non-GPU workstations. Two servers are installed in centralised Data Centre, one with 12 nodes and the other with 25 nodes. The labs are facilitated for conducting e-meetings and seminars. In addition to this every classroom is equipped with one computer for smart classes. The lab is well equipped for teaching computer languages such as C++, MySQL etc for classes XI and XII, Python Programming for classes IX and X and HTML and DHTML for classes VI to VIII.

SCIENCE LAB

We are well equipped with separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology and  Maths lab with instruments and materials for demonstration and practical experiments for class I to XII.

PHYSICS LAB: We have a spacious physics lab to enable experiments and an adjacent dark room to carry out optics related experiments.

CHEMISTRY LAB: Our spacious Chemistry lab provides the latest facilities to students for quantitative as well as qualitative analysis. The school could successfully develop sanitiser in our chemistry lab during the time of a pandemic to meet the needs of the school.

BIOLOGY LAB: The Biology lab is very spacious with a big hall to accommodate 25 students at a time and a separate room to keep specimens and tools required for board practicals. The lab is well equipped with more than 10 microscopes and other necessary equipments that provide students with the opportunity to learn about the microscopic world.

MATHS LAB

Bishop Pereira Memorial School has a separate well equipped Maths Lab with a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching materials that makes the process of learning more interesting. Through the Maths lab, the students discover Maths through activities which help them visualise, manipulate and reason. They are provided with opportunities to make conjectures, test them, and make inferences from the observed patterns.

Our spacious and standard playgrounds cater to this requirement. Children look forward to PT period to display their sporting skills under the guidance of qualified PT instructors.

Yoga

Experienced faculties are hired to give yoga training for students, which benefit kids in every aspect of their lives. Yoga day is celebrated every year. Students display yoga asanas  on every Friday’s assembly.

COUNSELLING ROOM

Counselling not only helps them to make decisions pertaining to their professional career, but it also makes them confident and mentally prepares them for societal hardships. Teachers help children to recognise their strengths, sharpen their interests and provide them with career options to explore their dreams. The school has a qualified and experienced counsellor to provide personal counselling to tackle the emotional and social instabilities of the students.

PRAYER ROOM

Prayer has the power to create a pious atmosphere that helps to instil certain values such as humility and discipline in the students. This helps the children to realise the essence of the ethical values. The school encourages students to believe in ethical values through prayer regardless of any religion. A separate prayer room with deities of all major religions are provided which improves communal harmony and  peaceful co-existence.

CLASS ROOM

• Our spacious and airy smart classrooms provide the opportunity for quality education to our students right from classes KG - XII.
• The school provides strong network connection, Edubrisk platform and student’s individual Edubrisk account free of cost, which makes learning more interesting.
• We have a separate block for higher secondary education with air conditioned smart class rooms.  More classrooms with air conditioning are planned for the near future.
• All class rooms and open areas are under CCTV surveillance.

ROBOTICS

• Bishop Pereira Memorial School has a well equipped Robotics Lab that becomes work station for kids from I to XII to convert their ideas to reality and empower their technical skills.
• Robotics team has conducted Robo Super League where young innovators of our school got an opportunity to experience a Virtual Soccer Match. It was first of its kind, which found its way to the media.
• We are looking forward to make our Robotic class a hub of innovations where young minds of our school get the opportunity to solve problems using technology and become global leaders of tomorrow in this field.

BUS FACILITIES

A well maintained fleet of buses help the children to travel safely. The school buses’ safety measures include GPS system, fire extinguishers, seat belts, First Aid kit etc. Experienced drivers and conductors are appointed for the safety of the children. Each bus is allotted  with a limited number of students. A route chart showing the approximate time of each boarding point is provided, considering the convenience of the students and parents.
