Arts Festival

We ensure the best platform for our students to bring out their hidden talents and nurture them to its excellence. Arts festival plays a vital role in the co-curriculum of our school. The students get ample opportunities to showcase their talents in art, music, dance and literature.

The students from classes III to XII are grouped into four categories.

Balakalolsav

Our blooming buds from classes KG to II exhibit their talents in their Arts day named Balakalothsav, which is held as part of the Children’s Day celebration.

Action song, Fancy dress, Poetry, Fashion show, Dance, Music, Recitation in various languages etc are the variety events of the day.

Independance Day & Republic Day

A heart that can beat with the spirit of patriotism is sure to create socially committed citizens for our nation. To uphold this, Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated with great importance. The celebration starts with the hoisting of National flag by our Manager, Principal or other dignitaries.

Various cultural programmes are performed within the theme of patriotism.

Onam Celebration

We celebrate Onam with various entertainment programmes such as Pulikkali, Onapattu, Thiruvathira (by teachers) and a procession with Maveli accompanied by students’ Chendamelam. House wise competitions are conducted for various events like Flower Rangoli, Tug of War etc.

Eid or Bakrid

The festival symbolises the act of humanity, charity, and sacrifice. Traditional dances and cultural programmes are performed by the students exhibiting the unity in diversity of our great nation. Mehandi designing is the highlight of the day. Students are allowed to wear casual dresses  on this special day.

Christmas Day

As part of the Christmas celebration, students are given the opportunity to arrange a class party, decorate their respective classes, exchange of gifts, cake cutting etc. House wise competitions are conducted for Christmas tree decoration, Crib making and Carol singing. Various entertainment programmes such as dance, music and a procession with Santa Claus accompanied by the school band and carol singers make the day unforgettable.

Charity

We always make sure to be a part of various charity works which enable us to inculcate the humanitarian values in our students. During the time of flood in 2018 and 2019, we wholeheartedly contributed to meet the needs of the flood affected people. The members of  the integrity club  helped the  orphanages and old age homes with the support of the management. Every year two students from economically backward community are selected by the PTA and they are provided with free admission and education.

Annual Day

Our Annual Day is graced with the presence of a special guest. After the inaugural function `The Annual Report’ is presented by the Principal. The speech by the Chief Guest, prize distribution, Proficiency Award distribution are the main agenda of the event. Students mesmerise the audience with their scintillating performances.

Teacher's Day

The commitment of a teacher is experienced by our students by taking up the role of their teachers on the Teachers’ Day. Their administrative and leadership skills are displayed by enacting the role of the Principal and Vice Principal.

SEED

Mathurbhumi's unique initiative SEED (Students Empowerment for Environmental Development) has been active in our school since 2010. The main objective of this programme is the protection of our environment. We provide awareness on agriculture, conservation of water and energy, recycling of plastics, preservation of forests etc to the students and help them integrate these values into their day- to-day lives. Seed activities are propagated through our Kitchen garden, Girly garden and Butterfly garden.
